Dredging
Our treatment decision can be very effective for dredging works. Small dosages of the synthetic & water soluble polymers drastically improve dewatering properties of dredged slurry. This helps to save:
- Space and weight - because better dewatered slurry takes less space and weights less.
- Costs on environmental issues - because of cleaner leachate.
- Time - because dewatering after polymer addition takes much less time.
Our experienced team is ready to help You to solve problems related with dewatering of slurry. We are able to consult and supply high class of polymers specially designed for dredging applications.
Poliflock SM applications are especially important for high inhabited areas or with minimum of space available. It permits to implement dredging works in such places where it is impossible without use of properly selected polymers.
Main benefits by using Poliflock polymers:
- Smaller volume storage disposal areas can be used.
- Acceleration of particle settling, up to 100 times faster than that of natural means.
- Increased in-situ percent solids by weight this permits greater amount of sediment storage per unit volume of disposal area
- Increased clarity of de-cant water, especially when disposal area is greater than full.
- Polymers can eliminate the need for a second or third disposal area in series to clarify the decant water or smaller ones can be built instead.
- Polymers permit the use of carbon filter media for the decant water since the de-cant water is clearer and will not clog the carbon.
- Settling ponds can be re-cycled and cleaned during dredging by having 3-4 ponds to pump into.
