Oil separation by gravity plays important role in ports or oil refineries. Heated tower separators are usually used. When oil emulsion is stable even after long time heating it is difficult to achieve good results: oil separation is poor and oil fraction contains a lot of water. After addition selected emulsion breaker, gravity separation goes much more quickly and efficiently.

Usually stable oil emulsions can contain up to 40 -60 % of water. After adding Poliflock SM emulsion breaker it is possible achieve 5 to zero % water content in oil.
